Cumulative Community Effort

We encourage neighbours to share from their gardens, and encourage fighting food insecurity by growing their own food. Generosity! If you have excess produce, you can donate it to the Lunenburg Community Food Hub. Any opportunity to share and nourish one another is a step towards eliminating barriers to access what we need.

Community Awareness

We have given presentations at the Seniors College Association of Nova Scotia. We presented at the Mahone Bay Community Center in their Connecting Series. There has been many moments where we integrate with other Schools, Non-Profits and Youth for collective learning. If you would like We Feed Lunenburg to speak about food insecurity, please reach out. We only want to raise awareness about this important issue.

Where to find us

We are at the Lunenburg Farmers' Market every second Thursday - either in the lobby of the community center or in the arena. Drop by and say hi. We love to chat. Follow us on our Facebook We Feed Lunenburg group to find out when we are at the market. We also have a 24/7 Free Pantry located beside The Community Hub at The Water Market: 237 Victoria Road, Lunenburg.

Batch Cooking

Collaborating with The Shore Group and Food Vibes, we have batch cooking sessions where volunteers come together and cook under the guidance of a chef. About 100 meals are prepared each time and frozen to be given out to those in need at the Lunenburg Community Food Pantry.
