About Us
A Community Built at the Table

At We Feed Lunenburg, we believe that food security isn't just a service—it’s a collective promise. We believe that a well-fed community is a resilient one, and that we all have a role to play in looking out for our neighbours.

 Our Roots
It started in 2020 with a simple realization: our gardens were producing more than we could eat. What began as a few neighbors sharing excess produce with the local food bank quickly blossomed into a movement. We started sharing transplants so others could grow their own food, and neighbors began baking for one another. This spirit of "growing and giving together" remains the heartbeat of everything we do.

Our Shared Spaces
Today, our community-centric model provides two vital ways for neighbors to connect with the food they need: The Lunenburg Community Food Hub: A barrier-free, safe space where anyone can access fresh produce, dairy, frozen goods, and household essentials. It is designed to be a supplemental resource—a place to bridge the gap and ensure no kitchen table is empty. The Community Food Pantry: Our 24/7 resource for those who need immediate, after-hours access or prefer a more private way to find support.

This is Who We Are Together
We aren't just an organization; we are a network of gardeners, bakers, volunteers, and neighbors. Whether you are coming to the Hub to pick up groceries or stopping by the Pantry to leave what you can, you are an essential part of who we are- together.
